Toddler found in pool in Scottsdale dies

An 18-month-old boy pulled from a backyard swimming pool has died.
Stephen Mihalik died at 2:30 P.M., Sunday at Phoenix Children's Hospital, Scottsdale Police said.
He was found Friday afternoon in the pool in the 8200 block of East Meadowbook Avenue.
The boy and his uncle were visiting a friend when the accident occured. The uncle and the friend's grandson were working on a car, authorities said.
They checked on the toddler while he was sleeping, but 15 minutes later found the boy in the pool, said Colin Williams, a Rural/Metro spokesman.
