The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office says a man in his 20s drowned Sunday afternoon at Butcher Jones Beach on the north side of Phoenix's Saguaro Lake.
They say the man could not swim and had been drinking up to six beers before he tried to swim to a marker with four friends.
His friends made it but he didn't.
Sheriff's divers recovered the body a few hours later in 8 feet of water.
The victim has not been identified.
On Saturday, 37-year-old Juan Jimenez drowned after drinking and then going swimming with friends on the Salt River near Blue Point Bridge.
