Infant girl will survive after backyard pool fall GLENDALE - An 18-month-old girl was reported in good condition Monday after being pulled from a backyard pool at a home in the 5000 block of North 71st Avenue.
Isabelle Saldana, who was taken for treatment at a Glendale hospital, apparently got through an open arcadia door and unlatched pool gate, firefighters said. Her mother found her after a 2-year-old playmate began making noise when the girl fell into the water, said Capt. Elio Pompa, a fire department spokesman. "The family was very lucky," Pompa said. "It could have been a different story with a little longer in the water."
