An unidentified 70-year-old Glendale man was found dead in his backyard pool Thursday morning, police said.
The man's wife and daughter reportedly last saw him gardening in the yard and returned home to find his body in the pool, said Police Department spokeswoman Karen Gerardo. She said his death was being investigated as a drowning.
"At this time, there is nothing suspicious about his death," Gerardo said.
Firefighters responded to the home in the 4700 block of West Orangewood Avenue around 11 a.m., but the man was not responsive, said Fire Department spokesman Daniel Valenzuela.
