A 2-year-old Phoenix boy died January 3, 1998 after being pulled from a pool at his home, reported Tim Simmons, public information office from the Phoenix Fire Department.
Anthony Ciscernos and his father had layed down to rest and the child awoke first.
Anthony was found in the pool by his father after he woke from his nap. The child evidently crawled out of a doggie door and was able to reach the unfenced pool.
The Phoenix Fire Department's attempt to save the boy were unrewarded.
This marks the first drowning in Phoenix for 1998.
