A 7-year-old boy was revived after nearly drowning Sunday, spending about two minutes under water while going unnoticed by family and friends.
The group was swimming near the Desert Tortoise Campground of Lake Pleasant when they lost track of the boy, Peoria fire spokesman Mike Tellef said. The boy was not breathing when friends brought him to the surface, and was revived using CPR.
He was in good condition, Tellef said, but was flown to Phoenix Children's Hospital as a precaution. It was the second near-drowning in eight days at the lake. An 11-year-old boy almost drowned last Sunday. Neither child knew how to swim or had flotation device
