A 5-year-old Orem, Utah, boy died Wednesday, two days after he fell into Lake Powell and nearly drowned, the National Park Service said.
The boy, who was not identified, was camping with his family at Hansen Creek on Monday when he fell into the lake.
Family members said they were cleaning up after lunch when they noticed he was missing. They found him floating between 12 feet and 20 feet off shore.
He was taken to Page Hospital and then flown to Salt Lake City, where he died.
Park officials said it was the fourth visitor fatality this year.
Three of the four victims were children.
