A 2-year-old Peoria boy was reported in critical condition Monday following a near-drowning in a backyard swimming pool.
Jason Hier was taken to Phoenix Children's Hospital, firefighters said.
The incident occurred about 5:30 p.m. Sunday at a home in the 7000 block of West Mountain View Road.
