Phoenix Fire Department officials on Sunday identified the Valley's seventh child drowning victim in 2001 as 3-year-old Brandon Lim.
The toddler was found in a condominium pool by a neighbor at Desert Hills Villas in the 10600 block of South 48th Street at about 11 a.m. Saturday. He was pronounced dead at Maricopa Medical Center shortly afterward. The boy managed to get past a construction barrier link-fence that enclosed the pool, officials said.
Five others, ages 13 and older, also have drowned in 2001, Phoenix Fire Department spokesman Terry Shields said.
