Officials say a 2-year-old girl was pulled from a Phoenix backyard pool after being submerged for about two minutes Wednesday.
The near-drowning occurred at a home near 48th Street and Camelback Road.
CPR instructions were given over the phone and the child was breathing on her own when paramedics arrived, according to fire department spokesman Scott Walker.
Air15 video showed police and crime tape in front of the home. There did not appear to be a fence separating the home from the pool.
The toddler was transported to a Valley hospital in critical condition and will be held overnight, Walker said.
